Sputnik is a faith and arts organisation, based in the West Midlands, UK, and working worldwide. We’re a community of creators, art lovers and arts patrons: making, funding, promoting work on the intersection of faith and art.

Connect with Other Christians

We are a network of artists who identify as Christian, but don’t make ‘Christian art’. Some might be full-time creative professionals already listed here. Others might be part-time, or amateur; what matters is that you take your art seriously, that you’re pursuing greater skill, and that you’re making work for universal audiences.

We host region-based meet-ups to gather, share work and make friends; we also host bigger events where featured artists give talks and performances. For example, we’ve recently featured award-winning illustrator David Doran, and bestselling author Chibundu Onuzo.

The best way to get connected is to join our Slack. You’ll see our bigger events on Twitter or Instagram, but Slack is where all other meet-ups get organised. Aside from our regional events, we’ve had Sputnik members organising their own Songwriting Circles, Film Workshops and more.

Get Funding for Creative Projects

No matter where you make your income, there will always be artistic projects that don’t fit the ‘commercial’ bracket so well – passion projects, new initiatives, or just work in a tough industry, like music. We give termly grants of up to £500 to support artists’ projects and help them to keep making.
