Hi, My name is Ruth and I’m a Christian Creative. I am passionate about good interior design for churches and use creativity to further God’s Kingdom.

I help churches get the most out of their buildings through considered design that includes people through good visitor flow and by offering a fresh pair of eyes I help to create a building that feels welcoming. I work with churches, community buildings and schools to create buildings which exude character and are welcoming and easy to use. This can be achieved with simple ideas on a low budget or it can be the start of a bigger project. I will visit your building and work with you to draw up a design brief.

Caversham Baptist Church (Reading) carried out a £500,000 refurbishment of the main spaces of their Grade II listed church building during 2022.

Ruth was appointed to develop an interior design concept for the building and to set out how this would be implemented in detail for each space. The design Ruth came up with was imaginative, bold and sympathetic to the building’s Victorian heritage. Ruth quickly understood the challenges and constraints of each space and proposed clever, yet practical solutions to address each. Ruth presented the detailed design to our church members, who were excited by the ideas and gave it their full approval.

Now that the design has been fully implemented, we really can see those solution in action; we’re really pleased with the result and it’s a joy to see the newly refurbished building meeting and in some cases, exceeding our expectations.

Ruth is an absolute pleasure to work with and comes highly recommended. She has created participant manuals for our self-esteem courses as well as helping me think creatively about our charity infographic.

Ruth has also designed all of our weekly goody bags for the courses that we run for teens in youth and school settings. I would not go anywhere else! She puts such special touches into these bespoke bags and our pariticpants go away so happy every week. The goody bags include things like beautiful pens and colouring, bath bombs, personalised bottle lights, face masks and so much more.

Ruth has a special ability to catch your vision and realise it so creatively and in a way that feels like a burden has been lifted. She is incredibly easy to work with; she sticks to her word and delivers on what she says she will. I could not recommned her highly enough…
